St Thomas’ School, Shimla, organised an inter-house Hindi poetry, English poetry and English group song competition. Vice-Principal Sharon Nanda presided over the function. The programme started by lighting the lamp. Sejal Rawat and Rohini Dogra were the judges in the competition. Students from Class II to V of the four houses of the school — Kasturi, Toshqui, Chinar and Shipkila House — participated in the inter-house Hindi poetry, English poetry and English group song competition. Students of Class II and III participated in the inter-house Hindi poetry competition titled “Ab to macha hai hahakaar” in which Toshqui House stood first, while Shipkila House won the second place. And in Class IV and V competition, titled “Kudrat”, Kasturi House came first and Shipkila House came second. In the inter-house English poetry competition for students of Class II and III, titled “Let’s go out and play”, Chinar House came first and Toshqui House came second. In the poem completion, titled “The Magic of Everyday” for students of Class IV and V, Shipkila House came first and Chinar House came second. The third and last event was the inter- house English group song competition in which Toshqui House came first and Kasturi House came second. Vice-Principal Sharon Nanda appreciated the tireless efforts of the students and motivated them to participate with more determination in the upcoming activities.
