NSS volunteers actively took part in the session. The agenda was discussed and mock drills were conducted in case of earthquake and other natural calamities. Session also emphasised upon to stay mentally and physically fit to tackle any of the calamities. Guest of honour Nitika Singla, course director and disaster management professional from MGSIPA, Sector 26, Chandigarh, and member of core team of NSS open unit, delivered a compelling speech, out of her own personal experiences. Student actively took part in the in programme and questions were asked from the guest of honour. The programme officer shared his opinion over disaster management and expressed his concern over reducing flora due to removal of trees from the forests by humans. Session was meaningful and engaging and ended with vote of thanks to Nitika Singla by Rani Poddar, Principal of the school. Students pledged to be prepared and vigilant for forbidding disaster.
