Girl India Project at St Anne’s Convent School, Chandigarh, organised a rally which was led by Sr Shiny. The international Girl Child Day is celebrated every year to recognise girls' rights and the unique challenges they face around the world. The day highlights the importance of education, health and equality for every girl and encourages communities to create opportunities for their growth and empowerment. The participants in the rally emphasised the need to provide girls with equal chances to lead, learn, succeed and promote gender equality and support girls in achieving their dreams. Sr Shiny addressed the participants and said that "when we educate a girl, we empower a nation". Every girl deserves respect, opportunities and the freedom to shine, he added.
