St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh,organised a grand investiture ceremony, ushering in a new era of scholastic excellence amidst the ongoing academic session. Akshat Soni and Divyanjali Thakur, students of Class XII were designated as the Head Boy and Head Girl, respectively, to spearhead the student council. Advaithanand V and Aahana Singh from Class X were appointed as Vice-Head Boy and Vice-Head Girl, respectively. Anmol Kaur and Aryan Sharma, students of Class XII, head the mentoring team for girls and boys, respectively. The student council pledged to uphold the school's ethos, striving for distinction through creative initiatives, innovative thinking and community-driven projects. They aim to cultivate a supportive environment, promoting empathy, inclusivity, environmental sustainability and social responsibility. The council welcomed members from the secondary block, under the leadership of seniors, to forge a synergy of innovation, progress and collective growth. The student leadership cabinet has launched purposeful initiatives to create a safe, value-based and emotionally supportive environment for the mental development of Josephians. Four committees - HEAL, Suraksha Sahayak, Digital Bandhu and Hopeline - address student welfare, while through the Josephite Saarthi Tales programme, cabinet members guide kindergarteners in basic values, promoting compassion, responsibility and mutual respect. The ceremony also saw the appointment of Captains and Vice-Captains for each of the school's houses. The school management commended and congratulated the student council, wishing them success in their new roles and encouraging them to strive for excellence. The school management members, Sukhdeep Singh and Paramdeep Singh Grewal, extended their best wishes to the student council for a tenure marked by innovation, collaboration, excellence and community engagement. Principal Monica Chawla congratulated the student council and encouraged them to embody the values of leadership, integrity, teamwork and compassion.
