In an enriching educational experience, a group of students from Eklavya School visited the renowned Tribune Press. The visit was part of the school’s initiative to provide practical exposure to students regarding the functioning of media houses and the process of newspaper publication. During the visit, students witnessed the step-by-step procedure of how news is gathered, edited, printed and finally distributed to readers. The editorial team at The Tribune provided a detailed orientation on editing techniques, typesetting and printing technology. Students were particularly fascinated by the massive printing machines and the real-time production of newspapers. The interaction session with senior journalists and editors helped the students understand the importance of credible reporting, and the role of the press in a democratic society. Seema Handa, director of the school, emphasised that such visits bridged the gap between classroom learning and real-world application.
