Junior athletics meet at State Public School, Shahkot

A junior athletics meet for Nursery to Class II students was organised at the school under the guidance of Dr Narotam Singh and Dr Gagandeep Kaur, president and vice-president, respectively, of the Group of State Public Schools. Principal Kanwar Neel Kamal and Vice-Principal Anthony Masih began the event with the lamp-lighting ceremony. Sana and Yashik were the anchors. To seek the blessings of Almighty, students sang a shabad, ‘De Shiva var mohe’. Students of Class III and IV presented a melodious song. After this different types of sports competitions, like balloon race, sack race, hurdle race, pick-and-run race, back race, three-legged race, lemon race, frog race, balance race, button the shirt and run race, zig-zag race, relay race, 50 m and 100 m races were conducted. Students of Nursery to Class II participated in different events enthusiastically. Malti, Karamjit Kaur, Shefali, Mandeep, Pooja, Leena, Manjinder, Rajni, Dipti and Rakesh helped in making the event successful. Principal Kanwar Neel Kamal praised the proud winners and Vice-Principal Anthony Masih facilitated them with medals.
