KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh
A blood donation camp, held at the school, in association with the Blood Bank Society, PGIMER, Sector 12, Chandigarh, and Punjab National Bank, Sector 27-D, Chandigarh, drew a crowd of donors. The camp coincided with the Parent-Teacher Meeting for the whole school that day. A lot many parents and patrons came forward to participate in it. Despite extreme cold weather, the school was warmed by the response to the blood donation camp and participation of NSS volunteers, who left no stone unturned to motivate the parents and staff of the school. Alumni of the school also responded along with members of the staff and Class IV employees. As many as 43 units of blood were collected. Principal Pooja Prakash congratulated the donors stating that they are real heroes and role models for their children.
