My Mother….

Jhanvi Batta, Class IX, Ryan International School, Patiala

Oh my mother, oh my mother,

Let us play together.

You care very much for me,

When I once hurt my knee.

You gave me a lot of love,

Nothing is above.

You always tell me to try,

But never to cry.

You always try to make me happy,

When I was small you tied my nappy.

You comb my hair,

Clean the house from everywhere.

You care when I was small,

Till the time I became tall.

I am your sweet girl,

You are my precious pearl.

I study when you say,

Because you taught me a right way.

Such a nice God gift,

Mom you gave me a lift.

Universe— A Deep Mystery

Abhishek Kumar, Class IX, AKSIPS-41, Chandigarh

Our Universe is so vast,

And believed to be created after a big blast.

It has lots of galaxies, lots of stars,

Solar system and planets like that of ours.

Universe has its own voice,

To listen to it, we don’t need any device.

It is just expanding and expanding,

Without making any noise.

It’s a dark mystery that we don’t know,

Is just like game of domino.

That till now never got over,

And seems to be kept in a secret folder.

ISRO, NASA, JAXA,

All want to explore.

But when we try to do so,

Its enigma increases more and more.

Are we alone in universe?

Do extraterrestrials exists?

Everything in it has its own twist.

Who created it and controls it,

Is also a very big mystery.

Many personalities came,

But no one is able to trace its history,

But no one is able to trace its history…….

Stay safe, be prepared

Mansirat Kaur, Class VIII, Ryan International School, Patiala

We may be young or old,

But we must be bold,

Against the enemy untold.

We can’t go to malls,

Nor can we go to waterfalls,

Because this virus is scary,

Sending our spines into a shiver.

If you have to go out, think twice,

Wear your mask, be wise.

After coming home, sanitise,

And wash your hands thrice.

COVID-19 is the name,

It is playing a hide-and-seek game.

A RAINBOW OF HOPE!

Chitranshi, Class X, DC Montessori Sr Sec School, Mani Majra

Sometimes we come to life’s crossroads and lose hope,

We think it’s a dead end,

But actually it is only a problem to cope,

Like the seven colours of the rainbow,

Life is full of blues, But, there’s always hope.

When you feel low, There’s always hope by your side,

Whenever you are feeling blue,

The rainbow is like a promise, Of hope for you!

When you are down in the dumps,

But you know in the heart,

That God has a much wider vision,

And he knows it’s only a bend, Which will straighten up,

With the lethal weapon of hope, There’s always a hope!
