The commerce department of the academy bagged overall trophy and Rs 10,000 cash award in the National Commerce Competition held at GN Girls College, Patiala. More than 400 students of 34 schools participated in the competition. The competition was conducted in three rounds. In the first round students gave written test in their respective commerce subjects (accounts, economics, business studies) and general knowledge aspects. Eight teams qualified the test and in the final round only three teams were selected in which Kohinoor International Academy, secured their first position and won the overall trophy with cash award. The competition was presided by Nilam Verma, Joint Commissioner, Income Tax, Dr Preeti Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, and SDM Kiranpal Singh. Dr Satnam Sandhu addressed the students and encouraged them for their achievements.
