To mark Labour Day, Class X-A of the school conducted a special assembly on the theme ‘May Day’. The assembly started with a soulful school ‘shabad’ and prayer, followed by the News Headlines presented by Ankur. The Thought of the Day and Word of the Day were delivered in three languages – English, Hindi, and Punjabi – promoting linguistic diversity and inclusivity. A thought-provoking moral story was narrated by Ishan Joshi, while Advika presented a meaningful poem reflecting the essence of Labour Day. A well-researched PowerPoint presentation on the importance and history of Labour Day was presented by Manmeet and Aadya. The highlight of the assembly was an engaging role play, titled ‘Pillars of success’ performed by Karanveer, Mannat, Harjap, Guntaas, and Prachi, showcasing the dignity of labour through dramatisation. An interactive GK segment by Anjali and Guntaas added an informative touch. The assembly ended with a motivating teacher’s talk, principal’s address, and national anthem. The assembly was a perfect blend of education and awareness. Meanwhile, students of classes IX to XII attended an insightful PowerPoint presentation highlighting the origin and global observance of Labour Day, making the day informative for all.
