The Inter-School English Language and Literature Fiesta was held at DAV Police Public School, Panchkula. It brought together 40 young enthusiasts from 14 schools, with the aim to promote a deeper understanding and appreciation of language and literature. The event was inaugurated with lighting of lamps and recitation of ‘Gayatri Mantra’. Jaya Bhardwaj, Principal of Hansraj Public School, Panchkula, and Cluster Head, was the guest of honour. Dr Ila Rathor, Head of English Department, Dev Samaj College for Women, Chandigarh, and Dr Gurpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor, Government College, Sector 1, Panchkula, were the subject experts-cum-judges for the day. The events saw enthusiastic participation from students showcasing their literary power and creativity. The competition was structured into several segments including Spell Bee, One Act Play, Elocution, JAM (Just a Minute). Each segment was designed to test different aspects of literary skills and knowledge. During the closing ceremony, the winners in each category were awarded with trophies and certificates to appreciate their efforts and hard work. The event concluded with a speech by Principal Amita Sachdeva, who congratulated all participants and encouraged them to continue exploring and appreciating English language and literature.
