TEachers play a significant role in shaping the lives of their students, but some go beyond the classroom walls to truly inspire. For me, that teacher is Sukhbir Singh, our Social Science teacher.

Like many students, I once believed that Social Science was a dull and tedious subject, filled with endless dates and events that made everyone sleepy. But stepping into his class changed my perception entirely. With his soft-spoken nature and the genuine love and respect he shows to every student, he creates an atmosphere where learning feels easy and enjoyable.

What sets Sukhbir Sir apart is his engaging teaching style. Instead of simply reading from the textbook and listing facts, he encourages students to participate actively. By asking thought-provoking questions during lessons, he ensures that every student remains alert and involved.

Another quality that makes him exceptional is his positivity. Whenever something goes wrong, he never complains or blames. Instead, with a calm smile, he says, “Tera bhana meetha lage” (God's will tastes sweet). These words have taught me the importance of patience, acceptance, and maintaining a positive mindset.

Beyond the syllabus, Sir often speaks to us about moral and social responsibilities. He reminds us to be kind, humble, and helpful-not just in school, but in society as well. These simple lessons leave a lasting impact, teaching us to be better human beings.

His deep knowledge of the subject is truly inspiring. Whether he is explaining a historical event, a geographical concept, or a topic from political science, his clarity and confidence make every lesson easy to understand and remember. He often uses funny anecdotes to make his teaching more relatable and interesting. At the same time, his humility stands out. Despite knowing so much, he never shows pride, and treats every question-no matter how basic or even silly-with patience and respect.

A teacher like him is rare to find, a true guide for heart and mind.

Being in his class is not only about academic learning, but also about personal growth.

For me, Sukhbir Sir is more than just a teacher-he is a mentor, a friend, a guide, and a lifelong inspiration.
