Every single teacher has a unique way of inspiring us, whether through their teaching style, guidance through personal real-world experiences, or interactions with students.
Each one of them leaves a mark on our lives in one way or another, shaping our thoughts and slowly carving us into the individuals we eventually become.
In my case, several teachers over the years have inspired me greatly, contributing bit by bit to the person I am today.
However, if I can choose one, I to would be the most recent one — our class in charge as well as our Hindi teacher. Hindi has always been my weaker subject, and I never really enjoyed studying it. But Ma’am changed my perception of Hindi, instead of making us memorise answers she discussed everything and related it to our real life, which made difficult topics way easier to understand. Relating with real world experiences makes everything way easier to understand and remember.
She was not just our Hindi teacher and class in-charge, but also a mentor to us. She often shared real-life stories connected to the chapters in one way or another, and the way she narrated them encouraged us to open our minds and engage in long, thoughtful discussions. This made the classes more engaging and fun, so we could keep our attention in the class instead of daydreaming and waiting for the class to be over.
Even though a few students, including me, were not good at Hindi, but she never discouraged us and rather gave us advice and tips to improve our scores. And these tips surely worked like a charm, our whole class had a very good result.
She inspires me because she made me realise nothing is difficult if you have the right mindset and guidance with you, if she hadn't pushed our whole class to do better, I don't think so we all would've gotten such a good result.
Her way of simplifying complex topics, connecting them to real-life situations, and encouraging discussions has made me realise the importance of curiosity and open-mindedness in learning.
Her personal touch to stories and poems with discussions made me realise that how easy learning can be with curiosity and open-mindedness in learning.
In the end I would like to say that, she has been more than just a teacher to me, she has been a true mentor who changed my perception towards learning. Her influence will always remain with me as a source of motivation both in academics and in life.
