Major Ajaib Singh Convent School, Jeonwala, hosts Cub and Bulbul camp
The school hosted a Cub and Bulbul camp, fostering a spirit of leadership among its young students. With the blessings of Principal SS Brar and Vice-Principal TK Brar, the camp brought together 54 Bulbuls and 50 Cubs from Class II and III, creating a vibrant atmosphere of learning and growth. Under the expert guidance of Manjeet Kaur Brar (Assistant State Organiser), Tapinder Singh Bedi (Chief State Organiser), Kulwinder Kaur Saroya (Lady Flock Leader) and Lady Cub Master Kulwinder Kaur Brar, the camp unfolded with a series of engaging activities. Students participated in a range of games, including the classic spoon race, races and one-leg race promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. The camp curriculum extended beyond physical activities, incorporating valuable lessons in scouting principles. Students delved into the significance of the Cub and Bulbul prayers, learning the ‘Jhanda Geet’ (flag song) and understanding the core rules and motto of the scouting movement. These sessions instilled a sense of discipline, responsibility and community within the young participants. Principal/Director Dr SS Brar recognised the significance of the camp, personally congratulated the students and teachers for their enthusiastic participation. He shared insightful points with the students, emphasising the importance of teamwork, leadership and applying the lessons learnt during the camp to their everyday lives.
