Students of Class VI onwards of the school participated in the State Soft Tennis School Games held at the ACE Academy, Ludhiana, and were declared the overall winners. The tournament saw participation from all over Punjab. The U-14 girls team of the school, comprising Riya (Grade 6) and Diannaa (Grade 7), won silver medals. The U-17 girls’ team, comprising Vrinda (Grade 9), Ikjot (Grade 10) and Hunarmeen (Grade 6), won gold medals. The U-19 girls’ team, comprising Pamanpreet (Grade 12), Darpan (Grade 12) and Harleen (Grade 12), won silver medals.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
