Martyrdom Day of Subedar Joginder Singh, PVC, was observed by NCC cadets of Major Ajaib Singh Convent School, Jeonwala, Faridkot, under the guidance of Principal/Director Dr SS Brar and 13 Punjab Battalion, NCC, Ferozepur. The event was held in the hero’s native village Mahla Kalan, to pay heartfelt tribute to the brave martyr who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation during the 1962 Indo-China war. The cadets participated with enthusiasm and discipline under the supervision of Lt Amritpal Kaur Khosa, CTO Veerpal Kaur, and CTO Kulwinder Kaur Brar. Members of the 1st Sikh Regiment joined the ceremony, enriching the patriotic spirit and unity of the event. Inspector Nirmal Singh Sandhu and the family members of the martyr, including his daughter Kulwant Kaur and elder brother Mahinder Singh, were present. Sarpanch Jarnail Singh and members of the gram panchayat of Mahla Kalan encouraged the cadets for their sincere participation. Cadet Harnoor Kaur delivered a moving and inspiring speech on the life and valour of Shaheed Subedar Joginder Singh PVC reminding everyone of his unmatched courage and devotion to the motherland. The gram panchayat of Mahla Kalan honoured all participating cadets with medals in recognition of their enthusiasm and contribution. Dr Brar was highly appreciated for his continuous efforts in nurturing patriotism and discipline among cadets through NCC activities.
