St Joseph's Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh, observed Mental Health Awareness Week with the theme "Mental Wealth Awareness: Mind Matters". The week-long initiative aimed to promote emotional well-being, empathy and mindfulness among students through engaging activities. The event began with an awareness session, where students and teachers wore green ribbons to show support for mental health. Interactive sessions, including talks on "Why Mental Health Matters", sensitised students to the importance of emotional balance. Activities included kindness-themed letter-writing, mindfulness exercises, stress management techniques and creative competitions. A guest lecture by Dr Ranjit Powar provided valuable insights on self-awareness and mental resilience. The week concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating participants' creativity and engagement. Under the guidance of Principal Monica Chawla, the event was a resounding success, reaffirming the school's commitment to nurturing students' emotional and mental well-being alongside academic excellence.
