Monthly prize distribution was conducted at St Anne’s Convent School, Chandigarh. Principal Sr Siji Issac appreciated the competitors for their hard work and perseverance. She motivated other students also to participate not only for prizes but to build competitive spirit and self-confidence. School students participated in number of competitions bringing laurels to the school. Anneans clinched the overall trophy in ‘The Ripples -09’ organised by DAV Model School, Chandigarh by winning the first prize in poster making, fancy dress competition and book wizard and third prize in scientific temperament, poster making and screen masters. Not only this, at Sacred Heart School, Anneans won the first prize in Hindi play and third prize in math park model competition. Anneans continued winning first prizes in ‘Technova’ organised by St Soldier Divine School, Panchkula; Saupin’s annual poetry competition and calligraphy competition by St Xavier’s School, Mohali; Stand-up comedy, Techmathos Seniors at Carmel Covent School. In ‘Credence’ — interschool competitions organised by Carmel Convent, Anneans managed to win the second prizes in Techmathos Juniors, Stone Art Making and Ramp Walk and third prize in street play. Anneans also won best speaker awards in both senior and junior categories in Mount Carmel, Zirakpur, interschool debate competition.
