Mother’s Day celebrated at St Anne’s Convent School, Sector 32, Chandigarh

Mother’s Day was celebrated in the school. The auditorium was decorated to welcome the mothers and grandmothers. A grandmothers’ ramp walk was the highlight of the show. Excitement, zeal and happiness was visible on grandmothers’ faces. The grandmothers nailed the ramp walk dressed in beautiful attires. Principal Sr Siji honoured them with sashes and crowns. A duet dance competition was organised to recognise the talents of mothers and children. The participants gave scintillating dance performances and enthralled the audience. Geeta Jain, Sangeeta and Vanita were the judges for the competition. In the duet dance competition, the first prize was won by Himpreet Kaur and Advita Kashyap of Class III-A; second prize by Swati Bhargava and Takshvi of Class I-D and Sandeep Kaur and Jasmeh Kaur of Class I-B; and the third prize by Lakshmi Rawat and Saanvi Rana of Class V –B. Principal Sr Siji appreciated the role of mother and grandmothers in the life of a child.
