These words are very true in my life. For me, they came alive because of my mathematics teacher. He changed not only my studies but also my way of thinking.
When I was in Class VI, math was my biggest fear. For me it was like a car without fuel-it could not move forward. I had no interest in the subject and I used to waste my time. I thought Maths was not for me and that I could never do it.
But everything changed when Sir started teaching us. He did not only teach us sums; he also gave us courage. One day I could not solve a question and I was feeling very low. Instead of scolding me, he said kindly, "Half the battle is won when you decide in your heart that you can."
Those words touched me deeply. That day I promised myself that I would try my best. I began practicing regularly. Whenever I made mistakes, he explained with patience and encouraged me to try again. Slowly my fear of math evaporated.
By the end of the year, a miracle happened. I could solve problems with confidence and I even became one of the toppers of the class. The subject that once scared me became my strength. All this was possible only because of the faith and support of my teacher.
Now I am in Class VIII, but the memory of that turning point in Class VI is still fresh in my mind. I often think that if Sir had not motivated me, I might still have been afraid of math. He taught me that limits are only in our mind and can be broken with hard work and confidence.
Teachers like him are true builders of our future. They do not just teach subjects, but also teach us how to live with discipline, courage and belief in ourselves. For me, Sir is not only a teacher, he is a guide and mentor. Truly, one teacher can change a student's whole world-just like he changed mine.
