The 23rd edition of ‘Swar Udgam’, an Inter-School Hindustani Classical Vocal & Geet/Gazal Competition, was organised by the school. The Classical Vocal Competition was conducted for students of classes VI to VIII and the Geet/Gazal Competition was conducted for students of classes IX and X. Students from 25 schools of the Tricity and adjoining areas participated in the competition. The day featured a variety of performances, from classical vocal recitals to geet/gazals, demonstrating the versatility and depth of talent among the young participants. Nathaneal Lal, an accomplished composer/classical singer, and Arun Vir, music producer, were the judges for the competition. Prizes to the winning schools were given by Dr Earnest Charles J Samuel and Dr Annie Charles Samuel, founders and directors, along with Dr Parveena John Singh, Principal of the school.
