Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh
The school commenced its new academic session for kindergarten to Grade XII. To mark the beginning of the session, a special assembly was conducted in the school playground by the wing in-charges and academic coordinators of all levels. Students from classes III to XII assembled in full school uniform, presenting a disciplined and enthusiastic spirit. The day began with warm-up exercises to energise the students and prepare them for the day ahead. The assembly commenced with the seeking of the Almighty’s blessings through a scripture reading, followed by the solemn recitation of the school prayer. Principal Dr Parveena John Singh extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to all students and teachers. In her address, she encouraged students to respect and obey their parents and urged them to remain focused on their academic goals. She motivated them to view challenges as opportunities to prove their abilities and grow stronger. The Senior Cultural Coordinator shared an inspiring thought for the day, while students were also briefed on important national and international news to keep them informed about current global events. A thought-provoking poem was recited by the Preparatory Wing In-charge and the Academic Coordinator, emphasising the importance of embracing one’s uniqueness and striving forward with hard work and a positive attitude. The assembly concluded with the singing of the national anthem, marking a meaningful and uplifting start to the new academic year.
