Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, organises Scholar Badge Ceremony

The school organised its Scholar Badge Ceremony for classes VI to IX. The proud occasion marked a moment of recognition and inspiration, honouring the unwavering dedication and scholastic excellence of young achievers. Students who demonstrated outstanding academic performance were awarded Scholar Badges by Principal Dr Parveena John Singh. She not only congratulated the recipients but also inspired them to aim higher through her encouraging and thought-provoking words that each badge conferred was more than just an emblem — it was a celebration of perseverance, commitment, and the Carmel spirit of excellence. The Founders and Directors, in their message, reminded the students, “Let your excellence be not just a goal, but a way of life — anchored in faith, integrity, and hard work.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
