Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, promotes environmental conservation
The Qudrat (Eco Club) members of the school along with teachers and students participated in a series of events aimed at promoting environmental conservation on vanmahotsav. The event saw enthusiastic participation in planting saplings on the school premises. The participants worked together to create a greener environment for the school and the community. A nukkad natak was performed on the theme, “Save trees as they are important”. The natak highlighted the crucial role that trees play in maintaining ecological balance, providing oxygen, and supporting biodiversity. A poster-making competition was held on the same theme of saving trees. Students from different grades enthusiastically participated, showcasing their artistic talents and creative ideas to promote tree conservation. Principal Dr Parveena John Singh said the school remains committed to fostering environmental awareness and sustainable practices within its community.
