Mount Carmel School, Sector 47, Chandigarh

Under the auspices of founders and Directors of Mount Carmel Schools Dr Earnest Charles J Samuel and Dr Annie Charles Samuel along with Principal Dr Parveena John Singh, the two days of Winter Carnival ‘MCC-2024’ attracted large crowd. School students and residents of the Tricity enjoyed the revelry at the school. Students gathered in large numbers to manage their stalls. The array of eatables, exhilarating rides and exciting games allured the old and young alike. The stage was fully occupied with dance and singing performances besides students from different schools from the Tricity participated in a number of competitions, ie Inter-School Rock Band Competition, Inter-School Solo Mime Competition, Inter-School Folk Dance Competition, etc. The MCC Fashion Show for ‘Mr & Miss MCC 2024’ — a contest for the students of Class X of the school — grabbed attention, while the raffle draw with its attractive prizes kept the crowd captivated till the day was over. Chief guest Colonel Deepak De inaugurated the fete and the guest of honour was Lalit Behal (District Governor, Lion’s Club). The closing ceremony was presided over by Pawan Kumar Bansal, former Union Minister, as the chief guest and Prof Emanual Nahar (Chairman of the Punjab State Commission for Minorities) as the guest of honour.
