Mount Carmel School, Zirakpur, celebrates vanmahotsav

The celebration of vanmahotsav at the school in collaboration with the Shivanand Choubey Memorial Charitable Trust was an ideal opportunity to instil personal and social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests. The chief guest was AK Pandey, Additional Director General of Police, CM Security, Punjab. Dr Parveena Johns Singh, Principal, Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, Simranjeet Singh, DSP, Zirakpur, Punjabi actor and comedian BN Sharma, and Sanjay Choubey and his wife, Founder and Chairman, Shivanand Choubey Memorial Charitable Trust, were present. They were felicitated by Principal Rashmi Ivy Rafi. The event commenced with the blessings of the Almighty. The chief guest addressed the audience and underlined the importance of trees and their conservation. The dignitaries and students planted various saplings on the school premises. The chief guest appreciated the efforts put in by the school to organise the event. Singing of the national anthem to pay tribute to the motherlandmarked the finale of the grand event.
