New Angel Public School, Zirakpur, student wins ICSE Inter-School Chess Competition

Avni Kashyap, a talented student of the school, has secured the first position in the ICSE Inter-School Chess Competition under Group C, held in Chandigarh. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from ICSE schools across the region, with young minds displaying remarkable skill and strategic thinking. Avni stood out with her sharp moves, calm demeanour, and consistent performance through each round, ultimately clinching the top position.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
