Brookefield International School, New Chandigarh, inaugurated its NSS Camp 2025, commencing a seven-day journey dedicated to learning, service, and teamwork. The inaugural event featured inspiring speeches outlining the vision of the National Service Scheme (NSS), a graceful Bharatnatyam performance, and a lively bhangra, which energised the entire campus. The school staff extended their best wishes to the volunteers as they departed for the residential camp, ready to serve society with dedication and compassion. As a significant part of the ongoing NSS Camp 2025, the students visited the PGI, where they actively participated in ‘langar seva’ (community kitchen service) with a spirit of empathy and service. They were also provided with the unique opportunity to interact with medical professionals, gaining valuable insights into healthcare, medical ethics, and the paramount importance of service within the medical field. This enriching experience not only reinforced their commitment to community service but also inspired them to appreciate the dedication of healthcare workers. Addressing the camp volunteers on the occasion, school president Manav Singla emphasised the camp’s core purpose that the objective of the NSS camp is to “awaken our students to their social responsibilities”.
