NSS Day was celebrated at Crescent School, Tutu. The programme began with an address by Principal Subha Chand, who explained that the National Service Scheme inspires young people toward community service, discipline, and national consciousness. He said the NSS operates on the principle of “society before self”. Eenergetic NSS volunteers took part in several competitions, including a speech contest, poetry recitation, yoga and pranayama sessions, and a cleanliness campaign. A message about conserving the environment and our responsibilities toward the nation was also shared. The NSS volunteers also participated in many fun-filled sports events. A total of 57 NSS volunteers took part in the programme. Light refreshments and sweets were distributed to the volunteers. The event reinforced the principle of society before self and our responsibility to the nation.
