The school held an orientation programme for its National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers. The programme was inaugurated by Nemi Chand, State Liaison Officer, Education Department, Chandigarh. The objective of the orientation was to provide new NSS volunteers with a comprehensive understanding of the NSS motto, its fundamental principles and the various social and community-oriented activities it encompasses. Through engaging lectures, interactive discussions and presentations, the programme sought to bridge the gap between students and community realities, enhancing their social perception and equipping them with leadership skills. Principal Rani Poddar motivated the students to participate in community service and contribute to the nation's development. The Chief Guest imparted a detailed overview of past and upcoming NSS projects, including the importance of national integration, health awareness and environmental conservation. Ritika Verma, a young NSS national awardee, also shared her experience as an active NSS volunteer on the occasion. The chief guest, along with Principal, teachers and students, planted saplings to carry forward the theme of environment conservation. Students pledged to look after the plants as well. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, encouraging the volunteers to embrace the ideals of the NSS.
