Students of Mount Carmel School, Zirakpur, presented an engaging Nukkad Natak on the theme "Say No to Crackers", spreading an important message on environmental awareness and responsible celebration. The street play performed by students of classes IV to VIII, under the guidance of their teachers, was staged at Affinity Greens Society, VIP Street and Cosmo Mall. The young performers drew appreciation and applause from the spectators as they highlighted the importance of a pollution-free and safe Diwali, encouraging people to celebrate with joy and consciousness towards nature. Principal Rashmi Ivy Rafi lauded the efforts of the students and teachers, emphasising the value of experiential learning and social responsibility. She also highlighted how such activities instil empathy, teamwork and environmental awareness among students helping them to grow as socially-conscious citizens. The event concluded on an inspiring note with a warm applause and words of encouragement from the audience, marking a meaningful step towards a greener and safer community.
