It’s close to everyone’s heart;

That’s the age, no one can forget

Childhood was the stage, when I and happiness actually met!

In babyhood, as much as you want, you may cry;

But in adulthood, your maturity not let you even try!

As a child, we tend to sit on dad’s back and shoulder;

And you don’t even get a single minute, once you are grown older!

In childhood, our attitude and nature is so brighten,

That nothing let us frighten!

 At a very fast speed, the childhood flew;

But still go and ask your heart, is there still a child inside you?

To brave soldiers

Jhanvi Batta, Class IX, Ryan International School, Patiala

February 14 (2019) was a black day,

Bring peace to the brave martyrs, I pray.

Oh my brave and strong soldiers,

You have a lot of burden on your shoulders.

Whether it is day or night,

You stay steadfast and fight.

And when they fall, they ask the nation not to weep,

‘ We are awake so you can sleep’.

Men with nerves of steel and fast like a fox ,

Ask ‘when I die pack me in a box’.

They ask their family not to cry ,

because for my country, they say, they are born to die.
