OS DAV Public School, Kaithal, hosts 'DAV Sports-2025'

OS DAV Public School, Kaithal, hosted the Cluster-Level 'DAV Sports-2025' under the aegis of DAV Haryana Cluster III, commencing with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal Mrs Anju Talwar, Cluster III In-charge. Around 400 student-athletes from 19 DAV schools across Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Karnal, and Jind districts participated enthusiastically in various sports, including table tennis, badminton, yoga, skating and chess. The athletes displayed excellent sportsmanship and competitive spirit throughout the day. In Table Tennis, the school secured the first position across all levels (Under-14, 17 and 19) in both boys' and girls' categories. Other schools, including DAV Siwan, DAV Sector-3 Kurukshetra, and DAV Police Public School, Kaithal, also secured notable positions. In the individual category, students from the school and other DAV schools secured first and second positions. In Badminton, various schools secured top positions in different age groups and categories. The school claimed the first position in Under-19 girls and secured other notable positions in different categories. Skating, OSDAV Public School, Kaithal, emerged as the overall champion in both boys' and girls' categories, while the school bagged 9 medals in the boys' category and secured notable positions in the girls' category. In Yoga, different schools secured top positions in various age groups and categories. The school took the lead in Under-14 girls, Under-17 girls and Under-19 girls. In chess, various schools secured top positions in different age groups and categories. The school stood first in Under-17 boys and Under-19 boys and secured other notable positions. During the closing ceremony, Principal Anju Talwar congratulated all the winning participants and wished them a bright future, announcing that the winning teams would now represent the cluster at the zonal level. The event concluded with the recitation of the Shanti Path.
