PM Shri, Dharamsala, witnesses Hindi Fortnight inauguration

PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, Dharamsala Cantonment, witnessed the grand inauguration of Hindi Fortnight. Hindi Day was also celebrated. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Principal Sunil Chouhan. Students highlighted the importance of the Hindi language through poems, speeches, and calligraphy competitions. Soma Karar enlightened the audience about the script of the Hindi language, its significance as a scientific language, and its rules of pronunciation. Manisha Chand shared insights with the students about the skills of language and the possibilities of choosing any language, including Hindi, as a profession. Chaman Lal administered the Hindi pledge to everyone and described Hindi as the soul of the nation, stressing the need for its preservation and promotion. Program coordinator Geeta Khadia and co-coordinator Jyoti Chouhan motivated the students to take pride in their mother tongue. The programme concluded with the rendition of ther national anthem.
