As many as 220 students of classes VI to XII of the school embarked on an educational tour to the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra, Haryana. The educational tour was organised as part of the ‘PM Schools for Rising India’ initiative. The tour aimed to familiarise students with the facilities, laboratories, and equipment at NIT to help them acquire knowledge of various aspects of information technology and engineering. Students interacted with experts, observed demonstrations, and sought guidance on their queries. Dr Yash Dwivedi (physics in-charge) provided information about various engineering courses. Kiran (research scholar) explained nanomaterial in detail during the orientation programme. Kamal (technical assistant) introduced the students to the robotics lab. Preetpal Singh (technical assistant) guided them through the central mechanical engineering workshop, and Sukhwinder Singh demonstrated the welding workshop. The experts presented their respective projects and demos, offering insights into career paths, technological advancements, and future opportunities. The students received valuable guidance and suggestions to develop better technical skills and excel in the field of technology. They also visited NIT-Kurukshetra’s library, where they explored various engineering books.
