A workshop was organised at PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, K-Area, Zirakpur, as part of the Nasha Mukt Punjab Abhiyan. The workshop was conducted by DSP Karnail Singh from Punjab Traffic Police. Students from classes VIII to XII participated in the workshop. The school’s student council welcomed the traffic police members. Principal Pushpa Sharma warmly welcomed chief guest DSP Karnail Singh and expressed gratitude. DSP Karnail Singh motivated students to stay away from substance abuse and follow road safety rules, citing real-life examples of the devastating impact of addiction and road accidents. Students attentively listened to his thoughts and assured to adopt them in life. Physical education teacher Ashok Kumar thanked the chief guest and traffic police members. Principal Pushpa Sharma honoured the guests with mementoes. The workshop aimed to educate students about the dangers of substance abuse and promote road safety awareness, aligning with the Punjab Government’s initiative to make Punjab drug-free, as emphasised in the “War Against Drugs” campaign, led by DGP Gaurav Yadav.
