The school celebrated Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Jayanti 2024 with enthusiasm. An Inter-School Painting Competition was organised in the vidyalaya on Parakarm Diwas. Principal KS Pathania along with the vice-principal, HM and the escort teachers lighted the lamp to seek the blessing of Goddess Saraswati. A thought-provoking and informative speech was delivered by Ruchi Garg, TGT (English). Venue Principal formally welcomed all the participants and the escorts. As many as 100 students from 17 nearby schools of UT participated in the competition. Various themes were given for the competition, like ‘Exam Warrior’, ‘Chandrayaan’, ‘Pareeksha Pe Charcha’, ‘Sports Achievement’, ‘Viksit Bharat’, etc. All students were given an inspirational book, Exam Warrior, and e-certificate. Eminent fine art teacher Subhash Shorey and Surender of UT School and Art Officer (Painting), Art and Culture Affairs, Haryana, Renu Hooda were the judges of the event. Rajan Jain, DEO, UT, Chandigarh, visited the venue and encouraged the participants. Rukshar of GMSSS, Sector 32-C, Chandigarh, bagged the first position. Prachi Garg of Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary School bagged the second position. Tamanna of MRA Senior Secondary Modal School got the third position. The fourth position was bagged by Nitin Kumar of GMSSS, Sector 8-B, Chandigarh and the fifth place was bagged by Palak Shukla of Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary School. The winners were honoured by the venue Principal.
