PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya, AFS High Grounds, Chandigarh, hosted the 36th Regional Youth Parliament Competition at the Alankar Auditorium. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 427 students along with 41 escorts representing eight Kendriya Vidyalayas across the Chandigarh Region. The inaugural ceremony began with a warm welcome extended to the dignitaries by the Scouts and Guides, followed by a symbolic Green Welcome by Preeti Saxena (Deputy Commissioner, KVS Regional Office, Chandigarh), Jugal Kishore (Assistant Commissioner, KVS Regional Office, Chandigarh), Gurpreet Singh (Principal of PM Shri KV, AFS, High Grounds, Chandigarh). The event was formally inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by chief guest Pawan Kumar Duggal, former MLA from Anupgarh, Rajasthan, marking the beginning of a two-day journey into democratic learning and expression. A melodious welcome song added grace to the occasion. Preeti Saxena extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and audience.
