The school organised CBSE Cluster XVII Athletic Championship (Boys and Girls) 2024 at Sports Complex, Sector-7, Chandigarh. The championship commenced with the warm welcome of chief guest Monica Sharma, Principal of the host school. Pushkar Vohra, former Joint Director, CBSE, Panchkula, also graced the occasion. It was followed by a welcome song performed by school choir, march past and an oath-taking ceremony by the participants. Monica Sharma hoisted the flag and declared the meet open by releasing multi-coloured balloons. Monica Sharma, in her inaugural speech, emphasised the need to inculcate more and more sporting activities in schools for the good health of children. This year more than 125 teams and around 1,000 participants from Northern Region are participating.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
