The CBSE has evolved an alternative mechanism to assess the students as the exams had been done away with in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In an address to students via social media, Pokhriyal said: “The government is concerned with your education and health.”

Referring to the present formula evolved by the CBSE, he said it would assess the students on the basis of their merit. Hence, they should appreciate it with confidence and optimism.

He thanked the Supreme Court for approving the CBSE’s proposal for the alternative formula to assess the exams.

“However, for those who remain dissatisfied and doubtful about the evaluation process, exams will be conducted for them in August after situation improves,” Pokhriyal said.

On Thursday, Pokhriyal had asked students to post their queries and concerns relating to CBSE exams.
