In the newly constructed Saraswati Mandir at the school, Pandit Praveen Sharma performed rituals and ‘pooja’ in the presence of the members of the school management committee, members of Press, principal, teachers and students. Special prayers were offered for the progress and smooth functioning of the school, happiness and peace of all.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
