Pratap Public School, Jarnailly Colony, Karnal
The school celebrated Republic Day. The event was presided over by chief guest Dr Satvinder Chaudhary, Senior Medical Officer, along with members of the management and the Director-Principal. The programme began with a warm welcome to the chief guest, followed by the ceremonial unfurling of the Tricolour and an impressive march-past by the Scouts and Guides contingents. Students showcased their skills through a spirited drill routine and a graceful presentation of Surya Namaskar. This year, the Republic Day theme, “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”, was beautifully highlighted through vibrant tableaux presented by students. They showcased the rich cultural heritage of Manipur, the Jewel of the North East, including its traditional handicrafts, handlooms, industries, dance forms, and attire, reflecting unity in diversity. Adding to the patriotic spirit, a skit, titled “Hamara Samvidhan”, depicted the workings of the Constituent Assembly, the collaborative drafting of the Indian Constitution, and its final adoption on the 26th of January, 1950. In his address, the chief guest emphasised building a healthy, self-reliant, and united India. The event concluded with the singing of the national anthem, leaving a lasting impression of pride and patriotism.
