Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann honoured 26 eminent personalities with state awards for their achievements in various fields. Principal Rifhat Wahab of Oasis Public School, Malerkotla, was among the awardees, recognised for her contributions to education and social service over the past 24 years. The award distribution ceremony, held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Faridkot, was attended by Chief Secretary Punjab KAP Sinha, DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav, DC Faridkot Poonamdeep Kaur and SSP Faridkot Pragya Jain. Upon receiving the award, Principal Rifhat Wahab expressed her gratitude, attributing the honour to divine grace. She stated that this recognition was particularly meaningful as it followed the formation of Malerkotla as a district, bringing pride to her and the entire district. Wahab thanked her family, school management, teachers, students and parents for their support and trust, which had enabled her to reach this milestone in her educational journey.
