Tripta Public Senior Secondary School, Chalwara, Jawali, Principal, Rakesh Rana, has been awarded the Shikshak Padam Samman by the All India Principals' Association. The ceremony was held at Hill Top School, Dalhousie. Nearly 100 principals from across the country were honoured at this ceremony. Principal Rana was honoured for his transformative leadership, outstanding contributions and services in the field of education. This honour has brought joy to the Jawali area and school. School Chairman Varinder Nariyal and the entire staff congratulated the Principal on this occasion. In his message, Chairman Varinder Nariyal stated that this honour is the result of Rana's incomparable work, dedication and hard work in the field of education.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
