What are the key achievements of your school in the past year that you would like to highlight?

The school marked remarkable success in the past year. The school has got 100 per cent board result in academics (district topper of CBSE Class X exam 2021-22) and in the field of sports, our 85 students participated in DAV Sports State-Level Tournaments and 20 got selected for the DAV National-Level Tournament.

How are the ‘lessons’ of Covid time online teaching being incorporated in the normal offline mode now?

As during pandemic, Covid-19 has left drastic effects on students, teachers and parents as well. After the pandemic we became technology-enabled school. Teachers became good counsellors and now teaching is being incorporated by counselling and demonstration methods. We are working day and night for the improvement of behaviour after this pandemic and results are very good.

What is the teacher-taught ratio in your school?

The teacher-to-student ratio in our school is 1:28, indicating that for every 28 students there is one teacher.

NEP has set new goals for school education. How far have you progressed in its implementation?

Change is the law of nature. The existing system of education is based on rote learning and NEP suggests replacing it with the exam pattern based on critical thinking, so every kind of preparation, ie infrastructure and capacity building programme are going on and in the new session, the school will be fully equipped to implement NEP

Vocational education classes or skill-building opportunities given to students.

Classes on skill-building opportunities are being given to students as per individual needs. Vocational education refers to the training provided to individuals to equip them with specific skills and knowledge related to a particular trade or profession. This type of education focuses on practical training and hands-on experience, preparing students for a wide range of careers in various industries. Art and craft activities and continuous vocational teachings are there in our institution. The school will develop more vocational courses from next academic session.

Handholding initiatives for underachievers

The school has started extra classes (free of cost) for academic and sports after school hours from the beginning of the session to enhance knowledge and interest of underachievers and good students. Due to this, tuition culture is almost at the end stage. Along with all kinds of celebrations, curricular activities go on the whole year. Co-curricular activities are meant to bring social skills, intellectual skills, moral values, personality progress and character appeal in students. The activities include athletics, cultural events, library activities, science lab activities, classroom activities along with weekly yajnas (DAV sanskaras).

Our vision is to develop well-rounded, confident, and responsible individuals who aspire to achieve their full potential. We do believe in inculcating values among students and for the purpose, counselling sessions are held continuously throughout the year. To develop aesthetic values, school observed more than 20 yajanas. My vision is to create good human beings, who can build a good nation.
