SPIC MACAY organised a mesmerising display of musical excellence, as renowned Indian classical maestros Pt Ritesh Mishra and Pt Rajnish Mishra visited St Xavier’s International School, Zirakpur, and left students of classes V-IX spellbound with their captivating performance and interactive classical singing class. The duo’s visit was part of the school’s cultural enrichment programme, aimed at introducing students to the rich heritage of Indian classical music. Pt Ritesh Mishra and Pt Rajnish Mishra showcased their mastery over traditional instruments, enthralling the young audience with soulful renditions of ‘ragas’ and intricate compositions. The event concluded with a special vote of thanks from the school administration, faculty, and students, who expressed their gratitude for the unforgettable experience.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
