Quarantine has redefined relations!

It is observed from ages, that the Nature has its own mechanism in maintaining a balance. All the living beings on the planet are interconnected and all of us form a large family where each one is dependent on the other. Talking in scientific terms, food chain, food web are the systems of energy transfer from one trophic level to another trophic level that causes the transfer of solar energy to every single being, unicellular or multicellular.

Reproduction is a process that leads to the continuation of species of different animals and humans on earth. Animals producing young ones have a strong connection with the Nature, they do not harm nature to rear their young ones. However, in case of humans is totally different. We harness natural resources for our benefit. Using natural resources in limit is naturally acceptable but over exploitation of nature and its resources is not!

Natural disasters, epidemics that we experience are nothing but the consequences of the over exploitation of resources making the earth’s natural sustaining system weak. Loss of human life, animal life all is the rage of the Nature and unfortunately we do not understand this! Increasing demands day by day, increasing selfishness, ignoring the power of the Nature make us land in these troubles. We should not forget one thing, ‘Nature is not dependent on us, we are dependent on it’.

Today, the world is facing the terror of pandemic, COVID-19. One strain of the microbe virus, has undergone mutation and has become fatal and infectious. Every country, every related organisation is working hard to make people aware and to find out solution for the deadly virus. Meanwhile, when this section of the people are working so hard for us. What are we expected to do? Quarantine! Life has come to a still for almost everyone! We are finding it so difficult to be isolated, to stay at home, not meeting friends and colleagues, no gyms, no interactions and no travels and much more than this. We are missing out on so much, right!

Wait! Just give a halt to your anxious thoughts, close your eyes and relax and think! Life has gone so busy that we are not able to take out enough time for our families. Though everyone loves their families, but still there is a feeling of seclusion among husband and wife, among parents and their kids, among siblings, among cousins and there is so much that we all miss out being busy. I would not say, the current situation is a happy situation, but if you will look towards the positive side, it's definitely healthy both psychologically and physically.

You must not have seen that corner of your house which your maid has been taking care of, you may have missed taking care of your most favourite plants in your balcony or may be your small little garden. You might have missed talking to your teens at home, must have missed listening to their daily mischiefs and the good and bad things they are going through. You must have missed how your baby respond, talk and walk, just because we are too hard pressed at work. You might have missed calling your most favourite aunt, uncle or may be your far away friend. You must be missing out some quality time that you could have spent with your kids, your parents and your spouse.

Let’s make up for that now! Let’s make use of this time given by the Nature to gel our relations, to connect to ourselves, to make ourselves comfortable being at home, let’s spend time in understanding each other. Let’s probe that drawer of our cupboard that carries the memories, those pictures we clicked but could never see. Let's practice art, let’s do yoga, let's choreograph, let's record our own songs, let's dance to the tunes of life, let your children listen to those old time fairy tales from their grandparents. ‘Let’s paint the canvas of our life with the colours of love, affection, understanding and bonding. Let’s redefine relations! Let’s quarantine!’
