Rhyme Time: An eternal question

Do you believe in destiny?

Or do you believe in free will?

Do you believe a notion?

Or man’s abilities and wit?

A question as old as time,

yet no one can answer it,

Still makes you wonder what the nature of the world is

which you reside in.

Is destiny really a thing superficial?

Or is it truly just meant to be?

Is the world we live in ours and official?

or something crafted, artificial?

Does will do wonders?

What about those who stumble?

Was it their destiny that they couldn’t do something great?

Is man really the maker of his own fate?

The Earth has billions of people,

With trillions who’ve come and gone

Each unique, with a story to tell,

Yet only some make it to the “top”.

“Oh we tried! We tried! We tried long and hard!”

Say countless stories as testimonies,

from near and afar.

Yet why was it only them who became so great?

Why were all the other efforts lost in vain?

Are only some meant to bask in glory?

While others gape at them?

Would glory even matter far in the end?

When there’s no one here, no one to comprehend?

Oh, is it luck? Is it skill?

Is it something we don’t have?

Is one false, or both true?

Who knows what the universe has planned?

In the end, I ask you,

What do you believe in?

Is it will? Is it destiny?

Or perhaps a mixture of both,

Perhaps something else at hand.
