Ritesh Kamboj, a student of Class XII at KB DAV-7, Chandigarh, has brought laurels to the city and school with his remarkable achievements in roller hockey and athletics. A seasoned athlete, Ritesh has consistently demonstrated his sporting prowess by participating in nine state championships and eight national championships of roller hockey, securing medals in all. He has also showcased versatility by winning gold and silver medals at the state level in athletics. In 2024, Ritesh represented India at the prestigious World Skate Games held in Novara, Italy, where he secured the fourth position in the U-19 intercontinental category. Continuing his streak of excellence, Ritesh clinched a gold medal at the 20th Asian Roller Skating Championship held in Jecheon, South Korea. The Indian team dominated the group stages with emphatic victories. In a thrilling final, they triumphed over Chinese Taipei with a score of 3-1, bringing home the coveted title.
