On the birth anniversary of legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, the school observed National Mathematics Week with a series of engaging and educational activities. The event aimed to ignite students’ interest in mathematics and showcase its relevance in everyday life. The celebrations included a variety of activities designed to make mathematics an interactive and enjoyable subject. Senior students explored advanced concepts through hands-on activities on the line of symmetry, the formation of 3D shapes, and creating double bar graphs. They also engaged in discussions and essay writing on the importance of mathematics, alongside solving problems involving algebraic identities. For the junior classes, the focus was on practical applications of mathematics. Young learners participated in fun-filled activities related to money, time, and measurement, fostering an early appreciation for the subject’s role in real-life situations. Reflecting on the event, Principal Dr Renu Gahlawat said, “Mathematics is not just about numbers, it is a way of thinking and reasoning. Celebrating National Mathematics Week is our effort to nurture critical thinking and analytical skills in our students, helping them to see the beauty and utility of mathematics in every aspect of life.”
